Houthis Claim Three Military Operations Against Targets in Israel
Yemen Monitor/ Newsroom:
The Houthi armed group claimed on Friday to have carried out three military operations against “targets” in central and southern Israel.
The group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said that his group carried out two military operations, the first of which targeted a military site in the occupied city of Ashkelon (southern Israel), while the second targeted a site in the occupied Jaffa area (central Israel).
He indicated that the two operations were carried out using “two drones that managed to bypass the interception systems and reach their targets successfully.”
In the same context, Saree added that “the group’s forces, in cooperation with Iraqi militias, carried out a military operation targeting vital targets in southern occupied Palestine using a number of drones, and it achieved its objectives successfully.”
Yesterday, Thursday, the group’s leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said that the group’s position on the Israeli aggression “is not affected by whoever is in control of the situation, and as long as the aggression targets an Arab country and a Muslim people, we are on the side of this country.”
He affirmed the group’s support for Syria and the Syrian people against Israeli aggression.
Al-Houthi referred to the operations carried out this week and explained that they were carried out with 19 ballistic, winged, and drone missiles, targeting “occupied Jaffa, Ashdod, and Ashkelon.”
He added, “This week’s operations are not limited to the seas, as five US ships were targeted in the Gulf of Aden, including two warships. The US ships were targeted despite the fact that they exercised the utmost caution, camouflage, and concealment.”
