Without Meeting The UAE President, “Al-Alimi” Departs Abu Dhabi
Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, left the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, on Thursday, after an official visit lasting several days, but without any formal meeting.
The official Yemeni news agency reported that President Al-Alimi participated with the Emirati brothers in their celebrations for the National Day, the 53rd anniversary of the Union, including the official celebratory parade that took place in Al Ain, as well as Martyrs’ Day.
He was seen off at Al Bateen Executive Airport by UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and Yemen’s Ambassador to the UAE Fahd Al-Menhali.
The agency did not mention whether Al-Alimi met with the UAE president and had discussions with him, as previously stated in the report of his arrival in Abu Dhabi.
The official Yemeni agency had stated that Al-Alimi would hold talks with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed regarding the developments in the Yemeni situation, the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and their promising prospects at various levels.
