Yemen and Azerbaijan Agree to Strengthen Cultural Ties

A diplomatic meeting held on Wednesday emphasized the need to establish cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Yemen.

This came during a meeting between Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adel Karimov and the newly appointed Yemeni Ambassador, Mohammed Saleh Ahmed Toriq.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, the minister congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his work.

He stressed that Azerbaijan, as part of the Islamic world, attaches great importance to cooperation with Islamic countries.

The meeting emphasized the importance of establishing cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Yemen, as culture plays a crucial role in building bridges between nations.

Yemeni Ambassador Toriq expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, saying he was pleased to begin his diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan.

He affirmed that he would exert every effort to strengthen relations between the two countries in various sectors, including culture.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the education of Yemeni youth in the arts in Azerbaijan and exchanged views on gaining experience in the fields of libraries, museums, and cultural heritage preservation.
