The internationally recognized Yemeni government has reaffirmed its commitment to paying full salaries to civil servants in both the central and local authorities in the liberated governorates (from the Houthis).
In a statement carried by the Yemeni News Agency Saba, the Ministry of Finance denied “misleading rumors attributed to officials in the Ministry of Finance, circulating on a number of electronic news websites and social media, about proposals to reduce salaries and pay half salaries to government employees.”
The Ministry of Finance reiterated in its statement its commitment to its responsibilities in paying the full salaries of government employees without any deductions, calling on the media to obtain information from official sources and not to be drawn into misleading rumors.
