Houthis Claim Joint Operations with Iraqi Militias Against Israeli Occupation
Yemen Monitor/ Newsroom:
The Houthi armed group claimed on Tuesday that it had carried out three joint military operations with Iraqi militias targeting vital targets in occupied Palestine.
Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Houthis, said in a statement that his group “carried out, with militias in Iraq, three military operations against the Israeli enemy over the past 48 hours.”
He added: “We carried out two operations that targeted two Israeli targets in northern occupied Palestine with a number of drones.”
He pointed out that “the third operation targeted a vital target in Um Rashrash area in southern occupied Palestine with a number of drones.”
The spokesman affirmed the “continuation of joint operations with Iraqi militias.”
The Houthi group had previously announced the implementation of its first operation with missiles and drones against the Israeli occupation on October 31, 2023.
Since November of last year, the Houthis have been launching attacks that they say target Israeli interests within the occupied Palestinian territories, in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea, as part of what the group says is solidarity with Gaza.
