Canada added the Houthi armed group to its list of terrorist entities on Monday, following in the footsteps of allies such as the US and New Zealand.
The group has launched numerous attacks on civilian and naval vessels in the Red Sea since November 2023, contributing to regional disturbances amid the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip.
Earlier this year, Canada supported British and US strikes against Houthi targets.
It’s worth noted that US listed Ansar Allah group as a terrorist entity in January of this year.
