The city of Marib (eastern Yemen) witnessed a massive demonstration on Saturday in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, who have been subjected to Israeli genocide since October 2023.
Thousands of participants marched through the city’s streets, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. They called on the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to assume their historical responsibility and take steps to strengthen the Palestinian people’s steadfastness.
The participants called for immediate action to stop the genocide and break the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip. They also emphasized the need to implement the decision of the International Criminal Court and prosecute war criminals, chief among them the Israeli Prime Minister.
With US support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 149,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and over 10,000 missing persons. The attacks have caused widespread destruction and famine, killing dozens of children and elderly people in one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council’s resolution to end them immediately and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
