Yemeni Writers’ Union Mourns Novelist and Short Story Writer Maha Salah

The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Writers’ Union has mourned the death of novelist and short story writer Maha Salah, who passed away in Sana’a today due to a health issue.
In a statement, the General Secretariat expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and the wider Yemeni cultural community on the sudden loss of a writer whose contributions in short stories and children’s literature were a significant and unique addition to contemporary Yemeni literature.
The statement affirmed that Maha Salah’s literary journey produced works of exceptional quality, both in the genre of short stories—where she stood out as one of the most prominent female voices—and in her work with children’s literature, whether through her influential publications or her contributions to the “Ibhar Children’s Foundation”.
