Discussions on Establishing a Turkish Flight to and from Aden International Airport

A member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, discussed on Wednesday with the Turkish Ambassador to Yemen, Mustafa Bulut, the possibility of launching a Turkish air route to and from Aden International Airport.
According to the official Yemeni News Agency, the meeting discussed the latest developments regarding the political and humanitarian situation in Yemen, amid the ongoing Houthi escalation in international shipping lanes in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden, and the resulting serious humanitarian consequences.
The two sides reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed issues of common interest, including increasing the humanitarian support provided by Turkey to Yemen and benefiting from Turkish expertise in rehabilitating infrastructure.
Al-Zubaidi praised the role played by Turkey in supporting humanitarian efforts in Yemen, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries to contribute to consolidating security and stability and improving the living conditions of citizens.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen relations with Yemen and its support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in their efforts to end the crisis and achieve peace and development, expressing Turkey’s readiness to strengthen the bilateral partnership to serve the interests of both countries.
