“Islah Party” Condemns Killing of Saudi Soldiers in Seiyun and Calls for Swift Justice

The Yemeni Islah Party, the largest Islamic party in Yemen, strongly condemned the incident that targeted Saudi officers in the city of Seiyun, Hadhramaut Governorate, on Friday.

Islah Party spokesman and Deputy Head of the Media and Culture Department, Adnan al-Audini, expressed the party’s “condemnation of the treacherous and heinous crime that targeted officers from our Saudi brothers in the city of Seiyun in Hadhramaut Governorate, which led to the martyrdom of two officers and the injury of a third.”

In a post on X, the Islah spokesman called on the competent authorities to swiftly apprehend the perpetrator and bring him to an urgent trial. He expressed his condolences to the families and relatives of the martyrs and to the Saudi leadership and people for the victims of this treacherous attack, asking God for mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs and a recovery for the injured.

On Friday, two Saudi soldiers were killed and a third injured by gunfire from a soldier in the First Military Region in Seiyun, Hadhramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen.

Sources told Yemen Monitor that a Yemeni soldier stormed a Saudi-Yemeni meeting in the First Military Region and opened fire on the Saudi soldiers.

The sources indicated that the First Military Region issued a circular to military checkpoints to apprehend the soldier who opened fire as soon as possible.

It’s worth noting that the Saudi and Yemeni forces are stationed in the city of Seiyun in Hadhramaut Governorate within the First Military Region.
