Houthi Landmine Amputates Young Man’s Legs in Western Yemen

Human rights sources reported that a young man in his thirties had both of his legs amputated and suffered shrapnel wounds in various parts of his body after stepping on a Houthi landmine in western Yemen.
Mujahed al-Qub, head of the Rasd Foundation in Hodeidah, stated in a post on X that a Houthi landmine exploded in the western part of the Akdah area, south of Al Jarahi district in southern Hodeidah governorate.
He explained that the victim was riding a motorcycle towing a trailer containing the remaining belongings of his family, who had been forcibly displaced by the Houthis along with the residents of his village and four neighboring villages.
