Health authorities in Taiz Governorate (southwest Yemen) announced on Saturday that they had recorded more than 9,300 cases of epidemic diseases since the beginning of this year.
The Epidemiological Surveillance Department at the Public Health and Population Office in Taiz said in a recent statistic that cases of epidemics (cholera, dengue, and measles) in the governorate reached 9,309 cases, including 45 deaths, between January 1 and September 30.
The cases were distributed as follows: 5,842 cases of cholera, including 37 deaths, 2,237 cases of dengue fever, with no deaths recorded, and 1,230 cases of measles, including 8 deaths, according to the statistic.
