The National Meteorological Center announced today, Tuesday, that weather maps analyzed at the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning indicate an unstable weather condition over the western highlands and coastal areas.

The weather bulletin stated that heavy thundershowers accompanied by hail and downdrafts are expected in the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Rima, and Al-Hodeidah, as well as the Tihama plain.

Moreover, scattered to moderate thundershowers are anticipated in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahwit, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Aden, and Abyan.

The center also predicted scattered rain in the governorates of Shabwa, Hadramaut, and Mahra.

The public has been warned to avoid valleys and flood channels during and after rainfall.

Citizens have been cautioned about thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail, as well as reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall and the formation of dense cumulonimbus clouds.

Warnings have also been issued about potential rock and mudslides on mountainous roads.

The center urged relevant government agencies to take necessary measures to protect lives and property and to follow the bulletins and reports issued by the center.
