Iran and Houthis Agree to Support Hezbollah

Yemen Monitor/ Sana’a/ Exclusive:

The Iranian ambassador to the Houthis in Sana’a announced early Tuesday that he had reached an agreement with Houthi leaders to “support Hezbollah” in the war against Israeli occupation in Lebanon.

Ali Mohammad Rezaei tweeted that he had met with Houthi leaders and “an agreement was reached to support Hezbollah with whatever our brothers” the Houthis can.

He added that Houthi support would be “within the framework of unifying the Islamic axis front against the Zionist enemy and its allies.”

The Israeli occupation army announced late Monday the launch of a limited ground operation in southern Lebanon, a week after attacks began on the Hezbollah organization.

Iran denies arming the Houthis, despite the discovery of weapons manufactured in Tehran on the battlefield and in sea shipments headed to Yemen, in violation of a UN arms embargo.
