Yemen Monitor / Newsroom

On Sunday, the Houthi group stated that it will engage in a long battle with the Israeli occupation, coinciding with fierce airstrikes by Israeli warplanes on the port of Hodeidah, which is under the group’s control in western Yemen.

Abdullah bin Amer, the Director of Morale Guidance for the Houthis, said, “The Israeli army claims that the time for Yemen will come, but the Yemenis (the Houthis) say we will not wait until that time arrives.”

He added, “the coming days, weeks, and months will be victories, not setbacks, and it is a long and uncompromising battle  (against Israel) with no room for retreat or hesitation,” without providing further details.

Earlier, the Israeli army radio reported that warplanes launched an attack on the port of Hodeidah, located on Yemen’s western coast.

The radio stated in a post on its platform “X”: “An attack in Yemen on the port of Hodeidah comes after the Houthis launched ballistic missiles at Gush Dan (Greater Tel Aviv) three times over the past two weeks.”

On Saturday, Israeli broadcasting authority reported that the Israeli occupation army confirmed that “the time for the Houthis will come, but the focus now is on continuing the attack on Hezbollah.”
