The prominent journalist and writer Hassan Abdulwarith passed away on Wednesday evening in a hospital in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, after suffering a health crisis.
Sources close to his family reported that “journalist Abdulwarith had experienced a heart attack a few days ago and was rushed to a hospital in Sana’a, before he ultimately passed away later today.”
Hassan Abdulwarith was among the most notable writers for the website “Yemen Monitor,” where he had his own column.

Journalist Abdulwarith was born in Aden in 1962. He studied philosophy and sociology, and later journalism. He worked for several newspapers and magazines since 1977 and also served as the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Al-Wahda.” He authored several works in journalism, politics, and literature.
