Yemeni embassies in Egypt and China have commemorated the 62nd anniversary of the historic 26th of September Revolution.
In his speech at the Cairo celebration, Yemeni Ambassador Khaled Bahah highlighted the challenges faced by Yemen due to the Houthi militia’s coup, which aims to reverse the nation’s progress since the 1962 revolution. He emphasized the importance of preserving the gains made by the revolution and called on the younger generation to continue the struggle for a free and united Yemen.
Bahah also addressed the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing war in Yemen and the Houthi militia’s attempts to undermine Yemen’s social fabric and identity. He stressed the need to counter these efforts and to strengthen national unity.
The ambassador expressed gratitude for Egypt’s longstanding support for Yemen and its people.
In a similar event held in China, Yemeni Ambassador Mohammed al-Meitami underscored the significance of the 26th of September Revolution in restoring Yemen’s dignity and opening the doors to freedom, justice, and equality.
