Yemen and Qatar Sign Memorandum of Understanding in Judicial and Legal Fields

A memorandum of understanding was signed in the capital, Doha, today, Wednesday, between Yemen and Qatar for cooperation in the judicial and legal fields.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Yemeni Minister of Justice by the Minister of Education, Tariq al-Akbari, and on the Qatari side by the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim al-Mahndi.

According to the official Yemeni News Agency, the memorandum aims to enhance and expand the scope of joint cooperation between Yemen and Qatar in judicial, legal, and judicial affairs, training, exchange of expertise and information, and organizing meetings and scientific seminars related to judicial and legal affairs.

The memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen cooperation between the ministries of justice of the two countries in the areas of exchanging experiences and various judicial and legal expertise, as well as enhancing cooperation between the ministries in the field of documentation, exchanging expertise and best practices in the legal professions, and various judicial procedures and services.

The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance and expand the scope of joint cooperation between the two countries in judicial, legal, and training affairs, exchange of expertise and information, and organizing meetings and scientific seminars related to judicial and legal affairs.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Yemeni Prime Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed in Doha with the Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, empowering youth economically in Yemen, and also met with the Qatari Minister of Finance.

The first meeting came on the sidelines of bin Mubarak’s participation in the “International Conference to Celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s Declaration of September 9 as the International Day to Protect Education from Attack,” which is being hosted by the Qatari capital.
