The death toll from a bus rollover accident on Al-Saha-Karba road in Al-Maqatra district of Lahj, southern Yemen, has risen to 16 people.
Local sources said that the bus, which was coming from Aden to Taiz, was carrying 16 passengers. Due to a mechanical failure, the bus fell off a cliff, and all those on board were killed, except for a child and another passenger who was initially reported to be injured but later died.
From time to time, travelers, including children, women, and the elderly, fall victim to road accidents due to the closure of main roads, forcing many citizens to travel between governorates on secondary and unpaved mountain roads, which are dangerous.
