The National Meteorological Center has forecast today, Sunday, varying degrees of thunderstorms in parts of the governorates of (Shabwa, Lahj, Al-Dhale’a, Taiz, Ibb, Rimah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah), extending westward to include parts of Tihama Plain and Hodeidah Governorate.
Scattered rainfall accompanied by occasional thunder is also expected in parts of the governorates of (Sa’ada, Amran, Sana’a, Al-Bayda, Hadhramaut, and Mahra).
Citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall have been warned to avoid valleys and flood channels and to seek shelter from thunderstorms.
Drivers on mountainous roads have been urged to exercise caution due to reduced visibility caused by rainfall on slopes and mountainous roads.
