US-British Fighter Jets Raid Houthi sites in Central Yemen
Yemen Monitor/Newsroom
Early Sunday morning, US-British fighter jets launched three airstrikes on Ibb Governorate in central Yemen.
The airstrikes, which targeted the Maytam area east of Ibb Governorate, came about two hours after Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree announced that they had shot down an American MQ-9 drone over Ma’rib Governorate in the northeast of the country.
Saree added that the drone was carrying out “hostile activities” when it was intercepted, marking the eighth time the armed group has shot down such an aircraft, “in victory for the Palestinian people’s cause and in response to the US-British aggression against Yemen.”
