Early Warnings Issued for Several Governorates

The National Meteorology Center has forecast, on Tuesday, the continuation of varying rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in the highlands of the governorates of (Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Abyan, Al Bayda, Lahj, Al Dhale’e, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rima, Sana’a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, and Saada).
The center also expects varying intensity of thunderstorms in parts of the coastal areas of the governorates of (Mahra, Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Abyan, Aden, Lahj, and Hodeidah) and their adjacent inland areas.
Citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall have been warned to exercise caution and avoid being in valleys and flood channels during and after rainfall, and to beware of thunderstorms, and hail.
Drivers have been warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall and low clouds on mountain roads, and of rockfalls and crossing earthen bridges during floods.
The center urged official authorities to take the necessary measures and precautions to protect lives and property and to follow its bulletins and reports.
