A meteorology expert confirmed today, Saturday, that most of the country’s governorates will be affected by an atmospheric depression in the coming hours.

Meteorology expert Jameel Al-Haj said that the precursors of the eastern atmospheric depression began on Friday, and today, Saturday, the weather conditions will be some extent disturbed and variable, with rainfall in the western highlands and southwestern Yemen, as well as the highlands of Tihama, eastern regions of Abyan and Shabwa, and scattered areas in Hadhramaut and Mahra.

He added: ” tomorrow, Sunday, the atmospheric depression will enter Yemen, as shown in the image, entering from the east of the Al-Rub’ al Khali desert, with rain in the blue circle.”

He confirmed that the low-pressure system will cross the desert until it reaches the skies of Najran, Al-Jawf, and Saada, with increasing cloud density and drawing huge amounts of water vapor flowing to it from the west and southeast, with a mass of it entering from north of Hadhramaut and east of Mahra.

He indicated that rainfall forecasts for Sunday are strong in large areas of Yemen, and they will merge on Monday in central and western Yemen.

He explained that in these days, there will be fear of unexpected heavy rains, or vague and complex forecasts that are not clear, and heavy rains may fall suddenly without the observers having enough time to warn beforehand.

He added: “As for forecasts that have not been realized or have been delayed, it is not a problem, it is a natural subject, others better than it will come.”
