Weather Forecast: Heavy Rains Expected in Ten Governorates, Including Tihama Plain

The National Meteorology Center has forecast, today Sunday, the continuation of thundery showers in several governorates over the coming hours.
It said that it expects heavy thundery showers accompanied by hail and downdrafts in parts of the governorates of (Sa’ada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Dhamar, Rima, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhale, Tihama Plain, and the western coasts).
It also forecast varying intensity of showers accompanied with thunder in parts of the governorates of (Amran, Sana’a, Marib, Al-Bayda, Lahj, Shabwa, Hadramaut, Mahra, and the highlands of Abyan, Al-Jawf) during the afternoon and evening periods.
It warned citizens in areas expected to receive rain to avoid valleys and flood channels, protect themselves from thunderstorms and strong winds, and hail.
It urged drivers to be cautious due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by rain, fog, or mist, and the possibility of rockfalls on mountain roads.
It called on relevant government agencies to take the necessary measures to protect lives and property and to follow its bulletins and reports.
