(New York Times): Yemen is Part of Iran’s Plans to Deliver a Direct Strike Against Israel

Yemen Monitor / New York:

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered a direct strike against Israel in response to what he described as the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh while he was in Tehran, according to the New York Times.

Khamenei issued the order during an emergency meeting of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council on Wednesday morning, the newspaper reported, citing three unnamed sources.

According to these sources, the attack will target Israeli military objectives in Tel Aviv and Haifa.

The sources also indicated that the Houthis from Yemen, the Popular Mobilization Forces from Iraq, and the Syrian regime are expected to participate in the attack.

The American newspaper stated that the Supreme Leader directed the military and the Revolutionary Guard to prepare attack and defense plans in the event the war expands.
