On Wednesday, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced the martyrdom of the head of its political bureau following an attack in the capital, Tehran.
In a statement, the Movement said: “Ismail Haniyeh was martyred as a result of a treacherous Zionist airstrike on his residence in Tehran.”
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed the attack.
Hamas mourned the martyrdom of the martyr , Ismail Haniyeh, to the proud Palestinian people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and to all the free people of the world.
In its statement, Hamas declared: “We mourn the martyr and leader, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the movement, who was martyred as a result of a treacherous Zionist airstrike on his residence in Tehran, after participating in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president.”
