Video: Yemeni Flag Raised at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

Amidst the rain, the Yemeni delegation entered the parade of nations at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony currently underway in the French capital, proudly carrying their national flag representing the four participating athletes.
Sprinter Samir Al-Yafei had the honor of raising the Yemeni flag.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Naif Al-Bakri, was also present to offer support and encouragement to the athletes, greeting them from the main platform of the ceremony.

According to the Olympic Committee, four athletes are participating in four sports: athletics, shooting, judo, and swimming. In athletics and swimming, Youssef Fartout will compete in the 100-meter butterfly, and sprinter Samir Al-Yafei will compete in the 100-meter sprint. Yasmin Al-Rimi will participate in the women’s 10-meter air rifle shooting event. And in judo, Hisham Makaber will compete in the 60kg category.
