Five killed by lightning strikes in three Yemeni provinces

At least five people have been killed and several others injured after lightning strikes caused by heavy rains struck several northern Yemeni provinces, local sources said.
A local source in Amran province said that a young man named Bashar Ali Saleh Zaid Shaqri died from a lightning strike yesterday, Tuesday.
In Al-Mahweet province, activists reported the death of a mother and her daughter after a severe lightning strike hit their house in the village of Beit Al-Radhi in Al-Mahweet Mountain.
They said that the lightning struck the family’s house at around 5 pm, while the mother, 25, and her daughter, 1.5 years old, were in one of the rooms of the house.
In Sana’a, lightning strikes killed two people in Al-Tarf area in Sa’fan Directorate, while they were in one of the guard rooms.
