Yemeni security forces in Marib seize 190 kg of hashish on its way to the Houthis

Yemeni security forces in the eastern province of Marib announced on Saturday the seizure of a quantity of hashish that was on its way to the Houthi armed group in the north of the country.
The official Yemeni news agency Saba reported that “Marib security seized 190 kg of hashish at one of the security checkpoints at the entrances to the governorate while trying to smuggle it into Houthi-controlled areas.”
Abdul Razzaq Al-Ruwaifi, director of the Drug Control Department in Marib, said that “the seized shipment consisted of 190 kg of hashish that was seized on board a truck of the type (Isuzu) while trying to smuggle it into the Houthi-controlled areas.”
He pointed out that the seized quantities were seized and referred with the accused to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
For his part, Abdullah Al-Sabari, commander of the Special Security Forces in Marib Governorate, confirmed the readiness of the officers and personnel of all security checkpoints in the governorate to thwart any Houthi attempts to smuggle hashish and prohibited substances, and their high ability to detect and seize complex smuggling operations, no matter what methods and means of camouflage and concealment the Houthi group uses.
