Dozens of Yemenis have interacted with the announcement by President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi about Kuwaiti support for Yemen with three twin-engine civilian aircraft after the Houthis detained three aircraft at Sanaa airport.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Sultan Al-Barakani commented on the campaign, saying:
“Kuwait is the one who sits on the throne of the heart at the forefront of the memory of everyone who has been led by the years to the era of the revolution … to September .. to the era of unity .. to the glorious May.”
He added, “In the time of the sad Yemeni division, Kuwait was the compass of guidance for the confused, warring brothers drowning in their differences, the last of whom were Ali Abdullah Saleh and Abdul Fattah Ismail in 1978.”
He continued: “Even when the differences of the Yemenis exceed the limits of disciplined laws, the Kuwaitis heal their wounds and say to them: Take it easy, you have brothers in Kuwait.”
He explained that many of Yemen’s leaders and creators either studied in Kuwaiti schools or graduated from Sana’a University, which was built by Kuwait.
Al-Barakani said: “Today, when the Yemenis were stranded in the middle of the militias riding them and leaving them in the abyss of perdition, there is no way for them except to return from the pilgrimage or from the necessity of returning from treatment in Jordan .. They were denied food and travel.”
He stated: “Here Kuwait returned and said: Do not despair, our brothers: this is your ride and here are your brothers .. and here are 3 planes for you from your brothers in Kuwait, with full loyalty and completeness, and we will be with you wherever your need is.”
He concluded his post by saying: “Greetings to Kuwait history and its revered Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Sabah Greetings to the Kuwaiti people, Kuwait, which is present in Yemen’s plains, mountains and cities, with its good projects, is today in its sky.”
Chief of Staff Sagheer Aziz commented:
“Kuwait’s noble and generous brotherly support for Yemen and its people today is an extension and continuation of a distinguished approach and an important addition to Kuwait’s record full of giving and sacrifice in various stages and circumstances.”
He added: “Our Yemeni people will never forget these noble stances and the sincere brotherly stand of Kuwait, its Emir, government, people and army.”
For his part, politician Muhammad Muhsin Yaqoub tweeted:
“When Kuwait pays attention and extends the hand of loyalty, the clouds of conspiracy dissipate and the fragments of opportunism fly away at a time when Iran and its mercenaries, the Houthi militias, are trying to deepen and deepen the humiliation of the Yemenis and raise the level of their suffering in the manner of highwaymen and the mafia of crime by detaining their civilian aircraft that transport their patients and reach those who are cut off from them.”
