“Yemen Meteorology center Predicts Thunderstorms of Varying Intensity in different Areas”

The National Meteorology Center in Yemen predicted, on Friday, that thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied with hail, will fall on different areas of the country in the coming hours.

The meteorology center pointed to partly cloudy, relatively hot weather, which will turn cloudy during the day with thunderstorms of varying intensity and hail sometimes falling on parts of the provinces of “Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhale’e, Dhamar, Raymah, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Sa’dah and Amran” and scattered rain on parts of the provinces of “Sana’a, Al-Dhale’e, Al-Bayda’, Shabwah, Hadramout, Al-Mahrah and the highlands of Lahij and Abyan” and areas of the Tihama plain.

The meteorology center predicted that the weather will be partly cloudy and hot In the coastal areas, with maximum temperatures ranging from (36-40 degrees Celsius) with the possibility of scattered rain on parts of the eastern and western coasts and the inland areas adjacent to them, and strong winds around Socotra Archipelago reaching a maximum speed of 40 knots, moderate to active speed on the eastern and southern coasts, with the presence of dust particles.

The meteorology center pointed to clear to partly cloudy weather that is extremely hot during the day, where maximum temperatures range from (39-44 degrees Celsius) with the possibility of scattered rain on parts of the deserts of the provinces of (Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwah, Marib and Al-Jawf), and winds active speed raising dust and sand.

The National Center for Meteorology warned against being in the valleys and flood paths and taking shelter from thunderstorms.

The meteorology center warned of sea disturbance and high waves around Socotra Archipelago and the eastern and southern coasts.

It also warned of the hot and extremely hot weather in the deserts, internal plateaus and coastal plains, giving advises against direct exposure to sunlight and to drink plenty of fluids.
