Houthis claim the targeting of US aircraft carrier and other commercial ship in the Red and Arabian Seas

The Houthi group claimed on Saturday to have targeted the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower in the Red Sea and another commercial ship in the Arabian Sea.

“Our operations targeted the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower north of the Red Sea,” the group’s military spokesman said in a statement.

He pointed out that his group targeted “Trans World” ship in the Arabian Sea in a qualitative operation claiming that operations against the US aircraft carrier and the Trans World ship hit their targets.

There was no comment from the US military as of this writing.

This comes as the US Naval Institute “USNI” reported that the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier will be leaving the Red Sea and will be replaced by the USS Roosevelt.
