Yemen Monitor/Newsroom

A number of neighborhoods in the temporary capital (Aden) witnessed angry night protests on Monday evening in denunciation of the deterioration of electricity service, coinciding with the rise in humidity and temperature in the coastal provinces.

Local sources said that the protesters cut off the road between Inma’a City and Al-Buraiqah District, and set fire on tires, hindering the movement of cars, demanding that the authorities move urgently to improve electricity services.

Electricity services has witnessed a major collapse during the past two days, as the hours of power outages have risen to 12 hours, compared to two hours of service.
