The Yemeni Meteorological Center: Severe heat wave and dusty winds expected in the coming hours

The National Meteorological Center forecasts that the scorching heat will persist over the desert and interior plateaus today, Monday.
According to the weather bulletin, extremely hot temperatures are expected to prevail over the desert and interior plateaus, with maximum temperatures ranging from 39 to 45 degrees Celsius. Coastal regions and Socotra archipelago will experience hot and humid temperatures, with maximum temperatures ranging from 33 to 40 degrees Celsius.
Strong northerly winds are expected to prevail over Socotra archipelago, exceeding speeds of 28 knots.
Additionally, strong north-easterly winds are anticipated to stir up dust and sand on the desert regions.
The center warns citizens in desert, coastal, and valley areas to take precautions against the heat wave and recommends avoiding direct exposure to the sun’s rays during peak hours.
Citizens are advised to drink plenty of water and hydrating fluids.
Mariners, fishermen, and sailors are warned of choppy waters and rising waves around Socotra archipelago, eastern, southern, and southern coastlines, as well as Aden Gulf.
