“Houthis Claim to Have Launched Attacks Against Ships in the Red Sea, Mediterranean, and Arabian Sea”

The Houthi movement claimed on Friday to have carried out qualitative operations against three ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and for the first time, targeted a ship in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Houthi military spokesman said that “the Israeli ship MSC ALEXANDRA was targeted with several ballistic missiles in the Arabian Sea.”

He also stated that they had targeted the Greek-owned ship (YANNIS) while it was passing through the Red Sea during the fourth phase of escalation.

The spokesman added that his group had targeted a Greek ship after three ships belonging to the company arrived at the ports of occupied Palestine.

He also noted that for the first time, the ship “ESSEX” was targeted with several missiles in the Mediterranean Sea.

Earlier, Houthi media outlets reported that US-British coalition aircraft had targeted the residence of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh and General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar in the coastal city of Hodeidah on Thursday evening.

The report also stated that the Houthi-controlled airport in Hodeidah was targeted five times yesterday.

On Thursday, Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi said that his group had “targeted 119 ships linked to Israel,US and UK since the start of their operations in November 2023.”
