Houthis announce destruction of a US Drone and Release Footage of Its Crash

The Houthi group announced on Friday that it had downed a US MQ9 drone in Marib governorate, while it was flying in the skies of the area.
The military spokesperson for the group, Yahya Sari, said in a statement that “the group had managed to down an a US MQ9 drone last night, Thursday, while it was conducting hostile operations in the skies of Marib governorate.”
He added that “this is the fourth drone to be downed since the group started its operations in the Red Sea.”
Later, the group released footage of the crash of the American-guided drone in Marib governorate, southeast of the country.
The Houthi military media published a video clip showing the crash of an American MQ9 drone.
There has been no official confirmation from the US Central Command (CENTCOM) yet.
Since November, the Houthis have continued to launch attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, while the US and Britain have launched attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen, and have re-designated the group as a terrorist organization following their attacks on commercial ships
