The National Meteorology Center on Friday forecast heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of the governorates of “Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, and Ibb.”
The Meteorology Center also predicted in its weather bulletin that moderate to heavy rains would fall on parts of the governorates of “Sa’dah, Sana’a, Rimah, Dhamar, Taiz, and Ad Dhale’e” and the highlands of the Tihama Plain, Abyan, Shabwah, and Lahj.
It pointed to partly cloudy and hot weather with scattered rains over parts of the “eastern, southern and western” coasts and the inland areas adjacent to them. The winds will be moderate in speed, sometimes active on the south of the western coast and Bab Al-Mandab.
The Center indicated that the weather will be hot during the day and clear to partially cloudy, with scattered rains over the governorates of “Al Jawf, Marib, Shabwah, Al Mahrah, and Hadramawt,” and the winds will be light to active in speed, sometimes causing dust and sand storms.
The Center warned against the flow of torrents in valleys and ravines and against being in their valleys.
It also called on drivers to reduce their visibility on mountain roads due to rain and fog or water mist.
The Center warned citizens in desert and coastal plain areas against direct exposure to the scorching sun during the afternoon.
