Houthi leader injured in clashes with national army southeast of Taiz

A Houthi leader was injured on Saturday when his military vehicle was targeted by national army forces in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.
Taiz Axis Media Center said that the Houthi leader, known as “Abu Hashem,” was seriously injured when his military vehicle was targeted by national army forces during clashes below Naqil Al-Salu. He was then transported to a hospital in Damnat Khadir on a motorcycle.
The center had earlier reported that Houthies had targeted national army positions and populated villages in Naqil Al-Salu with artillery shells and 23mm machine guns. The center added that the national army responded to the sources of fire and burned an armed vehicle with a 23mm cannon belonging to the group below Naqil Al-Salu, southeast of Taiz.
