Survival of a family contain18 people from the explosion of two Houthi mines in western Yemen

A Yemeni family of 18 people, including women and children, survived from the explosion of two Houthi mines in two cars in the province of Hodeidah western Yemen.

The Yemen Mine Observator (NGO) reported the rescue of a family consisting of 18 members, including women and children, following the explosion of two mines in two cars as they were passing through the area of ​​Kilo 16 in Hodeidah.

The observatory added that

Ali Ahmed Hassans’ family, from  Ibb, were on a trip to visit their farm on their cars, when two mines exploded in two cars, all are survived except a child with minor injuries.

It was mentioned that the incident resulted in the destruction of the two cars, while the engineering teams were able to extract several mines from the site after the incident.

This comes nearly a week after the killing of three passengers and the serious injury of four others due to the explosion of a Houthi mine in the province of Al-Jawf northern Yemen.

On Friday, the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement “UNMHA” announced the deaths of nine civilian victims (including 4 children) due to landmines and war remnants in Hodeidah province  western Yemen.

According to UNMHA, the incidents occurred in the directorates of “(Al-Hali), (At Tuhayata), (Al-Durayhimi), and (Al-Hawk)” in Hodeidah province.

The Yemen Mine Observatory had revealed in its latest statistics that 105 civilians were killed and injured as a result of Houthi mines and war remnants since the beginning of the current year.
