Jordan closes its airspace due an expectation of a retaliatory Iranian strikes

Jordan will temporarily close its airspace on Saturday night to all incoming and departing aircrafts, according to local Jordanian media .

The  Channel 12 has reported that two flights from the Emirati airline Fly Dubai have been turned back toward the United Arab Emirates after taking off en route to Israel,.

The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission has reported that closure purpose is to safeguard the safety and security of civil aviation in the country as they expected the occur of conflict, between Israel and Iran as a retaliatory attack by the latter, in the region.

The commission decided to close Jordanian airspace after conducting a risk assessment according to internationally recognized standards.

The decision will be reviewed and updated according to developments, the commission said.

On Saturday, commandos from Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard rappelled from a helicopter onto an Israeli-affiliated container ship near the Strait of Hormuz and seized the vessel in the latest attack between the two countries after the Israeli air strike on an Iranian consular building in Syria that killed 12 people, including a senior Guard general.

For days, Iranian officials including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have threatened to “slap” Israel for its Syria strike.
