A joint Saudi-Somali statement supports efforts for a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The statement, issued at the end of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s visit to Saudi Arabia, emphasized the importance of full support for international and regional efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The statement pointed out the importance of maintaining security and stability in the Red Sea region, as freedom of navigation in it is an international demand due to its connection to the interests of the whole world.

It called for restraint and avoiding escalation in light of the events taking place in the region.
