The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Saturday that a ship was hit by an unknown projectile west of Mocha in the Red Sea off Yemen.
The incident occurred 23 miles west of Mocha in the Red Sea, and the ship was hit by an unidentified projectile that caused a fire that was extinguished by the crew with no injuries.
The UKMTO added that the ship is continuing its journey to its destination and that its crew was unharmed.
On Friday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the destruction of four drones and three underground storage sites in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen, also confirming that the group had launched four ballistic anti-ship missiles towards the Red Sea.
Since November, the Houthis have continued their attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. In response, the United States and Britain have carried out attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen and have re-listed the group as a terrorist organization following their attacks on commercial ships.
