Yemeni President directs the government to quickly “compensate” families of victims of Houthi-blown houses in Al-Bayda

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, directed the Yemeni government to quickly compensate the families of the victims of the houses blown up by the Houthis in Al-Bayda on Tuesday.

This came during a meeting with the fact-finding committee that included the Ministers of Interior “Ibrahim Haydan”, Legal Affairs and Human Rights “Ahmed Arman”, and the Governor of Al-Bayda Governorate “Nasser Al-Sawadi” regarding the crime committed by the Houthis on Tuesday in  Al-Hufrah area in Rada’a district.

The attendees listened to a report from the Governor of Al-Bayda and the Director General of Rada’a District, “Munif Jabr al-Dhahab”, on the bombing of citizens’ houses, which resulted the killing of 12 persons and the injury of others, while a number of victims are still missing under the rubble of the destroyed houses, according to the official Yemeni News Agency.

The meeting discussed the measures taken and required to compensate the families of the victims and to provide the necessary legal protection for citizens in the areas controlled by the Houthis.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council directed the government to quickly compensate the families of the victims and the wounded, and to take coordinated measures with the various concerned parties to document the crime, commemorate its victims, and ensure that its perpetrators do not escape punishment at the national and international levels.
