The Houthi group announced on Friday that the US and UK had carried out a new round of shelling with “3 airstrikes” targeting the coastal province of Hodeidah western Yemen.
Al-Masirah TV, the Houthi mouthpiece, said in an urgent news bulletin: “A US-UK aggression targets Ras Issa area in Al-Salif district in Hodeidah governorate with 3 airstrikes” and no further details have been provided.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command announced that it had shot down 3 Houthi drones that were targeting commercial ships in the Red Sea without causing any damage.
US-UK airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen have continued in response to their attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The Houthis, on the other hand, have vowed to continue targeting ships linked to “Israel” until the war on Palestinians in Gaza Strip stops, despite the US-UK strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen.
