Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak appointed prime minister of Yemen
RIYADH: Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council appointed its foreign minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak as the country’s new prime minister on Monday, official news agency SABA reported.
The council’s decision stipulated that members of the government continue to perform their duties as usual.
The decision to appoint the new prime minister is effective as of Monday, SABA said.
Outging Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed will take on the role of an advisor to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the office of Yemen’s Cabinet posted on X.
