The Taiz Military Axis, affiliated with the Yemeni army, announced on Sunday that it had thwarted an infiltration attempt by Houthi militants targeting its positions on the Al-Ahthub front in Jabal Habashi District, west of Taiz Governorate.
Field sources confirmed that government forces bravely repelled the infiltration attempt, inflicting casualties and equipment losses on the Houthis.
This operation comes amid a noticeable escalation by the Houthi militia on the fronts in Taiz and Marib, where the group has intensified its attacks in an effort to advance in key strategic areas.
Yemeni army forces continue to fend off Houthi assaults, reaffirming their determination to protect both military positions and civilian areas against the group’s ongoing escalation.
