Military Committee Inspects Naval Forces in Midi, Northwestern Yemen

A military committee headed by Major General Khaled Al-Ashwal, Chief of Operations, conducted an inspection visit to the naval forces deployed along the coasts and islands of the coastal district of Midi in Hajjah Governorate.

During the visit, the committee reviewed the efforts made by the naval formation forces to ensure coastal security and protect international maritime navigation in the Red Sea, according to the media center of the Yemeni Armed Forces.

The committee also conducted a maritime tour aboard one of the naval force’s boats along the Midi coast, where the readiness and combat preparedness of the troops were showcased.

Major General Al-Ashwal conveyed greetings and congratulations from the political and military leadership to the commanders, officers, and soldiers of the naval formation on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. He praised their discipline and sacrifices in what he described as the national battle against the tools of the Iranian regime.

He also commended the naval forces for their efforts in thwarting smuggling operations carried out by the Houthi militia, as well as their role in protecting maritime borders and ensuring the safety of residents and fishermen on the islands of Al-Fasht and Baklan.

The Chief of Operations emphasized the importance of preparing and equipping weapons, gear, naval assets, and military boats, and being ready to carry out the tasks assigned to them.

For his part, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Mallahi, Head of Operations for the Fifth Military Region, expressed his appreciation for the military committee’s visit and affirmed the readiness of both land and naval forces to implement the directives of the military leadership across all assigned missions.
