Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

As part of efforts to support fighters and boost their morale, a high-ranking Yemeni military committee conducted a surprise visit to the strategic “Bab al-Mandab – Khuraz” front, coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

The visit was carried out under the directives of the Yemeni Ministry of Defense and the General Staff to extend greetings to the fighters and assess their field needs.

The committee was led by Major General Ahmed Al-Marzouqi, Head of the Manpower Authority, and included Major General Naji Abbas, Deputy Chief of Operations, Brigadier General Ali Obaid, Director of Officers’ Affairs, and Colonel Mohammed Al-Wadi.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the field conditions of the stationed forces, receiving a detailed briefing on the challenges they face and the mechanisms in place to address them. They also discussed logistical and military requirements, which will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for resolution.

Al-Marzouqi expressed his admiration for the high morale displayed by the officers and soldiers, stating: “The combat readiness and discipline we witnessed reflect the resilience of our troops, who are giving their all in defense of the homeland.”

He also praised the role of the residents of the Al-Sabiha area in supporting the armed forces, noting that such cooperation strengthens the ability to safeguard vital sites, particularly the Bab al-Mandab international passage.

It is worth noting that these inspection visits are part of the Ministry of Defense’s strategy to closely monitor front-line conditions and overcome obstacles faced by fighters engaged in defending Yemen’s sovereignty.
