Trump: Iran ‘Will Be Held Responsible’ for Any Houthi Attack

Yemen Monitor / Washington / Agencies:

U.S. President Donald Trump declared on Monday that Iran “will be held responsible” for any attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthis, following their announcement of an attack on a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Red Sea.

Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social: “From now on, every shot fired by the Houthis will be considered as fire launched by Iranian weapons and Iranian officials. Iran will be held accountable and will face consequences that will be ‘terrible.’”

Trump accused Iran of playing the role of an “innocent victim” of rogue terrorists while claiming to have lost control over them. However, he asserted that Iran has not lost control, stating, “They dictate every move, provide them with weapons, supply them with funds, highly advanced military equipment, and even so-called ‘intelligence.’”
