New US Airstrikes Target Houthi Sites South and North of Sana’a

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Houthi media outlets reported that new US airstrikes targeted the group’s sites and targets south of the capital Sana’a and in the north of the country.
They clarified that US airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Dhamar city and Aanes district south of the capital Sana’a.
US airstrikes also renewed on Sa’ada, the main stronghold of the leader of the Iranian-backed armed group.
Earlier, US fighter jets launched intense airstrikes on Houthi targets in various areas of the Houthi-controlled capital, Sana’a.
According to a Houthi statistic, the recent US airstrikes resulted in the death of more than 19 people and the injury of dozens in a preliminary toll.
In the same context, Reuters quoted US officials as saying that the US strikes were carried out partially by fighter jets from the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea.
US officials added that Trump authorized a more aggressive approach than the previous administration towards the Houthis in Yemen.
